Gayl Hann joined Missoula County in 2015 as a project manager for enterprise IT projects, such as the county website, budget software, an enterprise CMS, and a new intranet. Born in Missoula, she spent over 25 years working in the Washington, DC area and is grateful to be living here and enjoying everything Montana has to offer. Her background is in the implementation of large IT systems and is working on her Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. She remembers sitting in on PMI meetings prior to acquiring her PMP and appreciates all the encouragement, education and support she received and continues to receive from the PMI community. As a result, she's started a Community of Practice for project managers at Missoula County that provides the ability to learn new skills and share best practices across the organization. Currently active in the community as a Polling Place Manager for local elections and as a volunteer for several local non-profits. She's interested in applying her experiences to the position of VP of Events.
She has a MS in the Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia and a both a PMP and PMI-SP certification from PMI.
