About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed leader to manage our Project Management Office and Team (Project Managers and Project Coordinator). Ensures projects are completed within committed timelines and budget constraints. Develops and maintains project management policies, standards and procedures. Ensures project management policies, standards, and procedures are consistently followed within the team. Recruits, develops and manages staff. Manages projects as required.

Location: This position is located onsite in Missoula, Montana. A bonus program and strong relocation package is offered with this role!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the successful management of large, complex projects affecting multiple divisions and departments. Apply project management methodologies and control techniques throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Hire, train, and coach an effective project management team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to scope. Ensure team provides excellent customer service. Ensure project management staff communicates and collaborates effectively within the group, as well as, corporate and division groups. Allocate resources appropriately among projects and other work. Manage departmental overtime to ensure important work is completed while at the same time in a cost efficient manner.
  • Develop and maintain project management methodologies and procedures, including tools and templates. Train and coach staff in the proper application of these procedures as needed to mature project management in the organization. Review and update policies on an annual basis. Ensure that all projects are properly managed, from beginning to end, according to established project management methodology, and that projects are executed on time, within budget, and according to scope. Ensure that the transition from project to daily operation is managed effectively and that lessons learned are conducted timely.
  • Maintain satisfactory ratings and results on all IT exams and audits, and follow up timely on remediation efforts assigned to department. Maintain and regularly update policies and operating procedures for assigned department or function. Adhere to and support the use of governance, security and risk management practices.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience as a project manager, including management of major projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of project scheduling tools is required (such as Workfront or MS Project).
  • A four-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 120 credit hours is required.
  • PMP certification is required.

  • Familiarity and knowledge of information technology terminology and operations.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of banking terminology and operations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be capable of up to 10% travel (e.g. 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
